Bharatnatyam Dance Competition

Rutuja Naik from Std. VI A of Sinhgad Spring Dale School, Ambegaon participated in Bharatnatyam Dance Competition organised by Natubag Mitra Mandal and won gold trophy for Shivanjali Dance Academy.


Mount Kilimanjaro – Roof of Africa

Subject: after Mt. Elbrus highest peak of Europe, 13 year old boy from Pune completes his 2nd of 7 summits – Peak Uhuru of Mount Kilimanjaro – Roof of Africa
On 19th January 2017, 13 year old mountaineer Mast. Tanish Khot from Std. VIII E of Sinhgad Spring Dale School, Pune has successfully summited Uhuru Peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Uhuru peak is 19341 feet above mean sea level (AMSL) and is also called as roof of Africa. Being the highest peak in continent Africa, Uhuru peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro is 4th highest peak from 7 summits. In mountaineering getting entry in “7 summits club” is most applauded and every mountaineer has a dream to complete the seven summits mission. Journey began on 13th January when Tanish and team started from Mumbai to Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania. After a rest for a day; climbing began on 15th January from Machame gate which is located at 5400 feet AMSL. This was total 6 days journey from Machame gate to summit of peak Uhuru and then back to the base. Base is known as Mweka gate which is located at about 5300 feet AMSL. This journey from Machame gate to Uhuru peak and back to Mweka gate was climbing of 14500 feet and coming down 14500 totally walking distance of 62 Kms in 6 days.
Entire journey was very smooth as entire team was physically fit and mentally strong. The hardest part was on 4th and 5th day when Tanish and team started a climb from Borranco camp. Stay at Borranco camp was last day of comfort. From Borranco camp the real challenge began. From Borranco camp (13000 feet AMSL) expedition team needed to climb 2000 feet Borranco wall to reach 1500 feet then again climb down to 13000 feet to reach Karanga camp. After rest for a while team had to again climb to Barafu camp located at 15000 feet AMSL. This is also called as base camp. Team had hardly 8 hours of total at base camp when they start preparing for summit climb.
At 2 AM on 19th January 2017; entire team began a final climb for summit Uhuru peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. During the journey from Base camp to summit entire team has to climb over 4000 feet with the elevation of 70 degree, strong wind and freezing cold of little over -10 degrees. Finally at 8.15 AM on 19th January 2017 team 3 point adventures reached the summit. With successfully summit of peak Uhuru of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanish has climbed one more step to complete his 2nd summit of his dream to be in elite group of “7 summit Club” in area of mountaineering. During the expedition there was a strong support of his team who includes Pratapmehendale, SarangBedekar, Parshwa Shah, his father Sudhir Khot. The entire team reached the summit with the valuable guidance of Everest summitterChetanKetkar who is coach and trainer Tanish Khot.


RSP (road safty petrol)

Pune city traffic police organised RSP (road safty petrol) and sinhgad spring dale school ambegaon had participated in this event.
Total 82 platoons participated and 52 platoons were selected .SSDS,Ambegaon was declared as the best performance troup and award was given by hands odeputy commissioner of police.troup commander was radha rajguru Venue– police pared grounds


Sports Dance Championship

Std. VI , Div. B has won Gold Medal in Pune District Sub Junior and Senior Sports Dance Championship 2016 – 17. (Classical Category) organized by Pune District Sports Dance Association under auspices of Sports Dance Association of Maharashtra and Bronze Medal in 3rd Maharashtra Junior Sports Dance Championship organized by Jalna District Sports Association under auspices of Sports Dance Association of Maharashtra and has been selected for National Level which will be held in Pune.
